Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for subscriptions and payments related to our application (“Service”).
All payments for the Service are processed by Stripe, our payment provider.
2. Stripe as payment provider
Stripe handles:
- Payment processing, invoicing, and applicable tax calculations.
- Secure storage of your payment method details.
When you make a purchase, you are entering into a transaction that is processed by Stripe on our behalf.
3. Refund window
We offer refunds within 14 days of the original purchase date. Requests made after this period may not be eligible unless required by law or at our discretion.
4. Refunds
If you believe you are entitled to a refund (for example, due to accidental purchase, duplicate charge, or technical issues preventing use of the Service), you can:
- Contact us at support@1984.design with your email address and payment details.
- We will review your request and, if approved, process the refund through Stripe.
Refund approvals and processing are handled by us via Stripe, within the limits of applicable law and Stripe’s platform policies.
Refund requests must be submitted within the 14-day refund window.
5. Subscription cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
- When you cancel, your access to paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
- Cancelling a subscription does not automatically trigger a refund for the current billing period unless specifically granted by us.
We generally do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial periods that have already started, except where required by law or approved by us.
6. Billing issues and disputes
If you experience billing issues, such as:
- Duplicate charges,
- Incorrect amount charged,
- Unexpected renewal,
please contact us at support@1984.design as soon as possible.
We will investigate and, where appropriate, correct the issue or facilitate a refund through Stripe.
If you initiate a chargeback or dispute through your bank or card issuer, Stripe may temporarily suspend access to the Service for the affected subscription while the dispute is being resolved.
7. Trials and promotional offers
If we offer free trials or promotional pricing:
- Charges will begin automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- The specific terms (duration, price, features) will be clearly communicated at the time of sign-up.
Refund requests for charges following a trial or promotion will be evaluated according to this policy and must fall within the 14-day refund window.
8. Changes to this Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, through the app or by email).
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Refund Policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
